Booking Policy & Session Terms

Every session is built on mutual trust, respect, and open communication. These policies are designed to ensure a smooth and enjoyable experience while preserving the quality, care, and artistic approach that define my work.

1. Booking

Your session date is confirmed once all details have been agreed upon and a non-refundable booking retainer equal to 50% of the selected collection has been received.

The remaining balance is due on the day of the session.

The booking retainer secures your chosen date and covers the reservation of your session, the personal consultation, and the preparation completed before the session takes place.

For Destination Sessions, the booking retainer may also cover preliminary travel-related expenses, including transportation and accommodation bookings where applicable.

2. Rescheduling

If you need to reschedule your session, please let me know as early as possible.

If you notify me at least 7 days before the scheduled session, your booking retainer will be transferred to a new available date.

Requests made less than 7 days before the session will be considered individually.

The booking retainer covers the reservation of your session date, the personal consultation, and all preparation carried out before the session. For Destination Sessions, it also covers preliminary travel-related expenses, including transportation and accommodation bookings where applicable.

Outdoor sessions may be rescheduled at no additional cost if weather conditions are unsuitable.

3. Cancellation

In the event of cancellation by the client, the booking retainer is non-refundable.

If I need to cancel the session for any reason, you may choose either a new available date or a full refund of your booking retainer.

4. Additional Costs

Collection prices include my creative work as a photographer only.

Hair and makeup, styling, studio rental, private locations, entrance fees, and any additional production or organizational expenses are not included and, if required, are arranged separately.

5. Preparing for Your Session

Every session includes a personal consultation before the shoot, during which we discuss styling, wardrobe, location, and every detail of the preparation process.

My recommendations are based on more than fifteen years of experience and form an essential part of my artistic approach. Following them helps preserve the aesthetic, atmosphere, and quality reflected throughout my portfolio.

If these agreed recommendations are not followed, the final result may differ from the work presented in my portfolio. In such cases, I cannot be held responsible for expectations that are affected by the client's decision not to follow the agreed preparation guidelines.

6. Who Attends the Session

My sessions are intentionally calm and intimate.

Unless agreed otherwise in advance, only those participating in the session should be present.

Please do not bring nannies, grandparents, friends, or other accompanying guests unless we have discussed this beforehand.

If additional assistance is needed, we will always find the most comfortable solution together.

7. About My Photographic Style

My photography is rooted in authenticity, trust, and the emotional connection between mother and child.

An essential part of my artistic approach is capturing genuine moments of closeness: skin-to-skin contact, breastfeeding, uncovered shoulders or back, as well as tasteful artistic nudity involving the mother and young child. To me, these images are a natural visual language that expresses the beauty of motherhood with honesty, tenderness, and respect.

When choosing to work with me, please keep in mind that this artistic approach is reflected throughout my portfolio and is an integral part of my work.

Any photographs involving artistic nudity are created only with the prior informed consent of the adult participant(s) and with the utmost respect for the comfort and boundaries of every family.

8. Image Selection & Editing

The final selection of images is made by the photographer in accordance with her artistic vision and signature style.

Each photograph is individually edited.

RAW files and unedited images are not included in any collection and are not delivered.

Your final gallery will be delivered through a private online gallery within two weeks after your session.

9. Copyright

All photographs are protected by copyright and remain the intellectual property of Mary Timofeeva.

The client receives a licence to use the photographs for personal, non-commercial purposes only.

Any commercial use, resale, transfer to third parties, publication in commercial projects, or any other commercial exploitation of the images requires the photographer's prior written permission.

10. Portfolio & Image Use

I deeply respect the privacy of every family.

Unless otherwise agreed in advance, selected photographs may be featured in my portfolio, website, social media, exhibitions, printed publications, or as part of the ongoing Portrait of Motherhood project.

If you would prefer your session to remain completely private, please let me know before the session takes place. I will always respect your decision.

11. Force Majeure

In the event of illness, travel disruptions, government restrictions, unsuitable weather conditions, or any other circumstances beyond either party's reasonable control, the session will be rescheduled to the next mutually available date without penalty.

12. Agreement

By booking a session, you acknowledge that you have read and agree to these Booking Policy & Session Terms.
